A Somerset Farming Heritage

The Longman family have been farmers and farmhouse cheesemakers in the Vale of Camelot for over two centuries. In the 1930s the current generations great grandfather, William Longman, started expanding the family business of farmhouse cheese making through the partnership system of farming yet without losing any of the established traditions. William Longman was awarded a MBE for Service to Agriculture in 1964, this was achieved through sheer hard work and commitment. This wealth of experience means that Longmans have a unique knowledge of cheese and dairy products through to the present day.

Whilst cheese is a passion and Longmans now distribute local, territorial and continental cheeses the company also provides a wholesale range of charcuterie and fine foods plus additional dairy products such as milk, cream and our award-winning butters.

Longmans remain very proud of the total control from the dairy herds in the field to delivery of cheese to customers all over the south, south-east and south-west of England. The range of Longmans cheeses continue to win many awards.

We offer the highest quality delivery service with our fleet of refrigerated vans. We deliver currently throughout the South.
